Adobe Volume Licensing

Logo Adobe

Adobe is pleased to announce Adobe® Volume Licensing (AVL), its next generation of volume licensing programs. AVL introduces the first phase of a consolidated program that includes more streamlined purchasing, enhanced online enrollment capabilities, and a better customer experience through improved license tracking tools. Adobe volume licensing programs allow licensees worldwide to save money, gain control of their Adobe volume licenses, and take advantage of additional licensing resources. Whether you're new to volume licensing or are one of our valued Adobe Open Options (AOO) 4.5 customers making the transition to AVL, you can learn more about the program features and benefits here.

Next-generation features

Adobe is continuously working to improve its volume licensing programs and improve the customer experience, and AVL is the latest result. Here are some of the new features being introduced in October 2009.

Product Pools

Adobe is introducing the concept of Product Pools, which are groups of products with a similar deployment model. The Applications Pool will be available in October 2009, with a Server Pool offering server‐based products to be available in a later phase of AVL. Orders for products in both Product Pools can be placed under the Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) version 5 and the Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) version 5.

CLP enhancements

CLP is a two‐year membership program that offers numerous enhancements with AVL. Highlights include:
  • Lower minimum order quantity required for commercial customers to qualify for CLP 5 membership in North America (and for education and government customers to qualify worldwide). The minimum requirement of 40,000 points in AOO 4.5 has been reduced to 25,000 points in AVL.
  • New CLP 5 renewal policy — fewer points required to renew at the same level without a minimum order placement.
  • CLP 5 Upgrade Plan proration of three months (compared to the current six months).
  • Term Site License now available worldwide to qualifying education customers enrolled in CLP 5 in most regions.
  • Expanded CLP 5 online enrollment capabilities.

Enhanced Licensing Web Site (LWS)

LWS is the portal for tracking Adobe software licenses. AVL enhancements provide improved login and password features and more automated processes that save administrative time. With AVL, every qualified LWS user receives a unique login based on the user's e-mail address, and users have the ability to set and reset their own passwords.

Free Electronic Software Delivery (ESD)

ESD is included free of charge to both CLP 5 and TLP 5 customers.

Upgrade Plan

Upgrade Plan with TLP 5 and CLP 5 is now a percentage of the license cost.

Save money

Adobe's volume licensing program members qualify for discounts based on purchasing more than one license at a time. Whether you place an order as needed within our transactional licensing program (TLP), or recurring orders as desired within the two-year CLP membership program, the more you order, the greater the discount level you achieve and the more you save.

Save time

In addition to the discount on volume purchases, Adobe's licensing programs provide a means to optimize your license management via the Licensing Web Site (LWS) tool, allowing you to streamline software administration, record-keeping, and legal compliance. This ability to easily track and manage your Adobe licenses affords peace of mind and saves you time.
