Symantec’s buying programs offer corporate customers, and clients in the academic and government arenas a simplified purchasing process. In most instances, the programs enable procurement with a single purchase order, with products delivered in a single shipment, and on a single invoice.

ENTERPRISE SUPPORT SERVICES MIGRATION PATHS

All active support and maintenance entitlements will continue to be fulfilled according to Symantec’s contractual obligation at the level purchased. Upon renewal, customers will select one of the new support services offerings, based upon their coverage needs.

Symantec Enterprise Support Services provides unmatched breadth and depth ofexpertise, plus innovative support technology to help optimize IT infrastructure and manage risk. Symantec’s commitment to customer advocacy ensures a single point of contact to seamlessly manage our customers’ experience in complex heterogeneous environments. Multiple levels of service plans let customers choose the exact coverage they need.

The newly integrated portfolio offers three levels of support across all products:

Business Critical Services, Symantec’s premium level of support features industry-leading response levels and a proactive single point-of-contact for each customer. BCS is already available for both security and availability products.

Essential Support, recommended as the core offering across the breadth of Symantec’s product line, provides 24x7 access to Symantec’s award-winning team of security and availability technical experts. Essential Support replaces the legacy Platinum Support for our security products, and Extended Support for our availability products.

Basic Maintenance, the lowest price option, includes support during business hours. Basic Maintenance replaces the legacy Gold Maintenance and Support for our security products, and Basic Support for our availability products.
