content security, and outbreak management software and services. These products
and services are designed to deliver coordinated protection at application and
network layers to proactively manage the outbreak lifecycle - from vulnerability
prevention to malicious code prevention and elimination. Trend Micro’s product
and services categories are designed to address all major areas of the
enterprise.
TREND MICRO PRODUCTS are basically licensed per number of personalised users to be protected. The number of servers on which the product is installed is therefore irrelevant. Personalised e-mail accounts can be taken as the basis of reference. If there are no e-mail accounts available as the reference basis, the number of licenses is determined on the basis of nodes. “Nodes” is used to include any workplace PC, workstation, network PC, NC, etc. that is to be protected directly or indirectly by TREND MICRO Anti-Virus Software solutions. The higher number of email accounts or nodes is taken as the basis for licensing. licenses are granted in the following increments/licensing steps: The minimum license is for 25 users, with the exceptions of TREND MICRO Small & Medium Business (SMB) products, which are available starting from as few as 5 users. Example: with 573 e-mail accounts/nodes, the license is rounded up to the next number divisible by 25 users (i.e. 575 users in this case). The price list applicable at the relevant time is always the basis for calculations. 5 - 250 users: steps of 5 251 - 1,000 users: steps of 25 1,001 - 2,500 users: s teps of 50
